CSA Member Organizations

Community Support Advocates (CSA) is a cooperative effort of Mainstream Living, Progress Industries, and The Homestead.

Our Purpose

CSA was formed to assist persons with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, or other developmental disabilities in gaining access to appropriate housing, needed medical services, and interrelated social, vocational, and educational services.

Consumer Choice

These services are driven by consumer choice, with a focus on individualized community services and supports, and maximum community integration.

CSA generally hires for the following positions

Service Coordinator

Responsibilities:

Caseload consists of approximately 70 persons with disabilities (NCMI/CMI/ID/DD). Most consumers live in the Metro area and surrounding communities. Approximately 15 persons served live in various communities throughout the State. A car (shared with team members) is available for use on many occasions, especially for out of town trips. Responsible for coordinating and monitoring services and funding, evaluating consumer progress, ensuring completion of social history, assessment and case plan, updating records, and ensuring eligibility for services.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field plus one year of experience with population groups listed or Iowa RN plus three years experience with each population group.

Case Manager - Targeted Case Management

Status:

FT position for Case Management services in Polk County. Human Services

Responsibilities:

Coordinating & monitoring of services/funding; conducting social histories and assessments, evaluating consumer progress, updating case records, and ensuring eligibility for services.

Qualifications:

Requires Bachelors degree in human services or related field. MUST have minimum of 1 year experience with CMI and ID/DD adults OR Iowa RN plus 3 years experience with population groups listed.

Integrated Service Coordinator

Status:

FT position for Progress Industries within the CSA Integrated Services Team for Intellectual Disabilities/Developmental Disabilities/Chronic Mental Illness services in Polk County.

Responsibilities:

Coordinating, monitoring, and providing services and service funding, performing assessments, evaluating consumer progress, updating case records, and performing data collection and quality assurance activities as needed by the program.

Qualifications:

Team focused and consumer oriented. Human service related bachelor's degree required. One year experience with each population group (Chronic Mental Illness and Intellectual Disabilities) to be served is preferred.

Client Advocate

Status:

FT position for Progress Industries within the CSA Integrated Services Team for Intellectual Disabilities/Developmental Disabilities/Chronic Mental Illness services in Polk County.

Responsibilities:

Coordinating, monitoring, and providing services and service funding, performing assessments, evaluating consumer progress, updating case records, and performing data collection and quality assurance activities as needed by the program.
