Community Support AdvocatesCommunity Support Advocates (CSA) is a cooperative effort of Mainstream Living, Progress Industries, and The Homestead.
CSA was formed to assist persons with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, or other developmental disabilities in gaining access to appropriate housing, needed medical services, and interrelated social, vocational, and educational services.
These services are driven by consumer choice, with a focus on individualized community services and supports, and maximum community integration.
CSA's KEY program is a transition program that provides wrap around type services to youth, which enable them to successfully transition from the youth service system to the adult disability services system. The program is designed to work with youth and young adults with Chronic Mental Illness whose main support needs are a result of this disability. Eligibility requirements for KEY include Medicaid eligible youth, age 17 ½ to age 25, who have Chronic Mental Illness and who are Polk County Legal Settlement.
