Community Support AdvocatesCommunity Support Advocates (CSA) is a cooperative effort of Mainstream Living, Progress Industries, and The Homestead.
CSA was formed to assist persons with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, or other developmental disabilities in gaining access to appropriate housing, needed medical services, and interrelated social, vocational, and educational services.
These services are driven by consumer choice, with a focus on individualized community services and supports, and maximum community integration.
This program has been in operation since September, 1997. This is a program with 100% county funding, where the county pays a capitated rate per person, and the Integrated Services program provides or purchases all services necessary. Persons served in this program must have one of the following disabilities: Intellectual Disabilities (ID), Developmental Disability (DD), Chronic Mental Illness (CMI), or any type of Mental Illness (NCMI) currently under treatment. This program is designed to serve persons who are not Medicaid eligible at the time of referral, and who have multiple areas of support needs.
